NovaMechanics Ltd (NovaM) is an innovative SME from Cyprus specialising in data-driven modelling, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms for chemicals and materials research. The company develops advanced computational tools and decision-support systems that integrate data-driven and physics-based approaches, enabling predictive, explainable, and scalable solutions across the full innovation lifecycle of materials and chemicals. NovaMechanics has strong expertise in cheminformatics, bioinformatics, nanoinformatics, in silico toxicology, machine learning, multi-scale modelling, and FAIR data infrastructures, and has participated in and coordinated numerous EU and national R&I projects focused on Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) approaches.

Role in the PINK Project

NovaMechanics supports the PINK project by developing and integrating data-driven predictive models and computational workflows for assessing functionality, safety, and sustainability, and by enabling AI-driven search and optimisation capabilities within the overall SSbD workflow. NovaMechanics also leads the implementation of the PINKISH platform as a distributed, cloud-based infrastructure built on microservices and REST APIs, ensuring secure user management, harmonised user experience, and seamless interaction between platform components and services. In addition, it delivers the technical foundations for interoperability and deployment (including container-based approaches), and develops advanced data visualisation functionalities such as dashboards and digital material passport concepts to support evaluation, comparison, and information exchange along value chains. Finally, NovaMechanics contributes to the software infrastructure required for automated generation, validation, and deployment of new predictive models, and supports activities that promote uptake, sustainability, and long-term use of the integrated platform and its methods by industrial stakeholders.
