  • After the tour the bus will bring us back to Wastewater Treatment Plant

Practical Information

The BASF Wastewater Treatment Plant is located separately from the BASF Ludwigshafen site and has its own dedicated entrance. Upon arrival, please proceed to the gate 20 at Im Spitzenbusch 12, 67227 Frankenthal, where all visitors are required to register before entering the facility (have an ID or passport at hand, please).

How to get there:

By Plane

The nearest international airport is Frankfurt Airport (FRA), located approximately 75 km from the site. From the airport, take a direct train to Mannheim Central Station (Mannheim Hauptbahnhof). From there, a taxi will take you directly to the BASF Wastewater Treatment Plant in approximately 20–25 minutes.

By Car

The plant is easily accessible via the A6 motorway. Take the Frankenthal interchange and follow the signs towards Im Spitzenbusch. Free parking is available at the BASF Wastewater Treatment Plant.

By Train

Travel by train to Mannheim Central Station (Mannheim Hauptbahnhof), which offers excellent long-distance and international rail connections. From Mannheim Central Station, we recommend taking a taxi directly to the BASF Wastewater Treatment Plant. The journey takes approximately 20–25 minutes, depending on traffic.
