The SSbD networking was started as a satellite meeting to the Materials Week 2024 in Limassol, Cyprus (17-21 June 2024) by brining together the newly funded projects. It is now continued as reoccurring events to welcome new projects and initiate joint activities.

PINK 1st Industrial Workshop

The workshop introduces PINK’s Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) approach and its offerings to industrial stakeholders.
  • Provide and integrate computational models, data resources and software to support the design of new chemicals and materials that are both functional and aligned with the Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design concepts and frameworks ;
  • Boost the innovation capacity of SMEs and industry with cost-effective and efficient AI-enabled decision support tools and workflows enabling the development of innovative chemicals and advanced materials addressing new functionality needs and of alternatives to existing materials with improved safety and sustainability profiles.

ChIPs FAIRfication Workshop

The workshop focuses on the FAIR principles – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable – aimed at enhancing research data management. It includes sessions on data curation, semantic documentation for FAIR compliance, harmonizing model characterization templates, and addressing challenges related to in vitro model complexity.
